Meet the Jeweler

Woody Pridgen

When it comes to Woody Pridgen, you can rest assured that your precious jewelry is in great hands. Woody has an amazing 41 years of experience as a jeweler, beginning as an apprentice at Castleman Jewelers in Inglewood. We were thrilled to make him the in-house jeweler at Hendersonville over two years ago, and he’s been making happy customers every since.

His favorite repair? Retipping and restoring rings. In fact, he even created a one-of-a-kind ring for his wife to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary! When he’s not at his jeweler’s bench, he’s at the zoo with his grandkids.

Meet the Managers

Davis Carr, Store Manager

Davis Carr joined the Service Jewelry & Repair team in 2021, but she’s been in the jewelry business for eight years. Whether it’s diamonds or Swiss watches, Davis knows her stuff. She’s certified by the Diamond Council of America (DCA), received extensive Swiss watch training, and is always continuing her professional education

Of course, her connection with our customers is where she truly shines. Her favorite memory made at SJR is of a woman who had recently lost her daughter to a rare childhood cancer.

“Come to find out, I met her daughter over 5 years ago at my previous place. We created a custom ring in memorial of her daughter. It had her daughter’s diamond earrings, diamonds from her cross, and her daughter’s birthstone in the center.“

When she’s not at work, Davis loves to play pickleball and try new restaurants.

Julie Dyer, Assistant Store Manager

Julie Dyer has been in the jewelry business for over five years, and we were lucky enough to bring her on a little over a year ago. She has extensive training on all things diamond and knows a thing or two about repairs too. In fact, she loves fixing things and does so outside of work too! When she’s not working, she also enjoys the outdoors, taking pictures of the sky, and spending time with her three children.

Le Vian – a rich history, across centuries

Le Vian is a family-owned jewelry company whose history goes back to the 15th century. By 1746, Le Vian caught the eye of one of Persia’s greatest rulers, who put them in charge of guarding his vast collection of precious gems and jewelry.
